String manipulators not thread-safe

camel_case, snake_case, et al use the $1, $2, etc. match variables. Need to write a variant of gsub that passes match data object instead of just the matched string.. Or, less elegant (?) would be to use substrings in the methods.

I think this is closed now, since we are using English::Style and it uses \1, \2, but I don't know if that is actually any different.
